dear silver students,
we know this is a time of uncertainty, fear, grief—and for many in our community—deep disconnection. the headlines are relentless. many of our peers, classmates, and colleagues are navigating complex realities across borders and identities. in the midst of it all, we still show up.
we're launching a new weekly space—how we show up @ silver—a series of hybrid student hours [drop-in] hosted by associate dean o'mealley, joined each week by a silver faculty co-host.
we’ll center reflection, community care, and social work core values like dignity, justice, integrity, and competence. this is not a panel or a lecture. it’s a space to speak freely, to ask hard questions, to be witnessed—and to practice the kind of presence our field calls for.
🧭 this is for you if you’ve been:
- feeling unseen or unsure
- longing for connection without performativity
- wanting to build your social work readiness toolkit in community
we want to hold space for you—not because we have all the answers, but because this is what we do.
“i show up as i am — with humility, with curiosity, with love, with care, and with my core values grounded — to meet you where you are.” — cro
