What is Elysian Charter Day Camp?  Elysian Charter Day Camp is a fun-filled 4-week program for students entering kindergarten through 7th grade this upcoming fall.  The program will include activities such as arts & crafts, sports, science experiments, cooking, field trips and more.
What are the weeks that camp is being offered?  For the summer of 2019, camp will run the weeks of July 15th, July 22nd, July 29th and August 5th.  Your child(ren) may attend one, two, three or all four weeks.
How much is the camp tuition?  The tuition is $450.00/week per child.  Any additional siblings can attend the camp for $400.00/week.
Who can attend the camp?  The camp is open to any student entering kindergarten through 7th grade this upcoming fall 2019. You do not need to be an Elysian Charter School student to attend the camp.
Will my child be served lunch at the camp?  No, we do not have the ability to serve lunch.  Your child will need to bring lunch with them everyday that they attend camp.  The camp will provide two snacks daily.  If you have a picky eater, you may send your child(ren) in with their own snack. Please note that our camp is completely nut free.
Who are the camp counselors?  Overseeing each group of campers, and leading the special activities, are some of our favorite Elysian teachers and staff members... but, they're not allowed to give homework over the summer!
What are the camp hours?  Camp will run from 9:00am - 4:00pm each day.  Early drop-off will be available starting at 8:30am for an additional $10/day.  This summer, we are happy to also offer “after-camp” from 4:00pm -5:00pm each day for an additional $20/day.
Where will camp be held?  Camp activities will be held in the air-conditioned classrooms and gym at Elysian Charter School, as well as our nearby outside play areas.  In addition, each week will include off-site field trips, which will provide our campers extra adventure and fun!
*Registration forms are now available on our website, ecsnj.org. Camp enrollment is on a first come, first served basis.
What should I do if I still have questions?  If you still have questions about the summer camp, please email summercamp@ecsnj.org, and we will respond as soon as possible.
Diane Murray (6th Grade) Asking for Help with 3D Printer

Please email diane.murray@ecsnj.org if you can help. Thanks!
A  Taste of Hoboken
The Hoboken Community Center, a non-profit formerly known as the Hoboken North-Hudson YMCA, will host the 25th "A Taste of Hoboken" event on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 to support the renovation of the building’s recreation wing, including its beloved Art Deco pool. Tickets can be purchased online at www.hobokencc.org/taste.
Featuring live music, wine, beer, and cuisine tastings from Hoboken’s top restaurants, the event will be hosted on the Stevens Institute of Technology campus in the Howe Center’s Bissinger Room, featuring magnificent Manhattan skyline views.
“The renaissance of Hoboken has seen many great things like the restoration of the waterfront, several new parks and the addition of the light rail on the west side. What Hoboken still desperately needs is a community center that serves everyone,” said Ken Nilsen, president of the Hoboken Community Center. “With broad support from our elected leaders and members of the community, we have real momentum towards restoring and reopening the recreational facilities at the former Y. All proceeds from A Taste of Hoboken will go toward that effort.”
The event begins with a "Prosecco Preview" at 6:00 pm, where guests pay a premium to be in a less crowded room and an opportunity to mingle and talk to chefs and other restaurant representatives about their cuisine. General admission begins at 7:00 pm, and the event runs until 9:00 pm.
This year, Hoboken chef Maricel Presilla is up for a James Beard Award for Outstanding Chef, and both of her restaurants - Cucharamama and Zafra - will be present. Other participating restaurants include Anthony David’s, Carlo’s Bakery, La Isla, Karma Kafe, Tutta Pesca, Madison Bar and Grill, Choc O Pain, Court Street, Charitto’s, Leo’s Grandevous, and Elysian Cafe.
Wine and beer will be served compliments of Giannone Wine and Liquor, a longtime supporter of A Taste of Hoboken. Giannone has two great locations - in Hoboken and West New York.
Live music will be provided by Hoboken’s own Swingadelic - the NYC area’s greatest “little big band.”
We are happy to have as one of our early event sponsors Bijou Properties, with their emphasis on green building standards in our community.
About the Hoboken Community Center
The Hoboken Community Center (formerly the Hoboken North-Hudson YMCA), has been a community treasure for over 135 years. The center provides affordable housing for nearly 100 men, many of them veterans. Now the focus is to again serve the entire community by revitalizing and reopening the recreation wing of the building, which includes program spaces, a pool, basketball court and track.
We have real momentum for this important project with $2 million in seed money from a developer's community giveback. The goal is to create a vibrant cultural center that serves every demographic in Hoboken. Our vision of the community center is a smaller version of the 92nd Street Y with programs that can nourish body, mind, and spirit.

We must mark all children absent who are not in attendance.
