First 8th Grade Career Pathway Fair of the Year

Rutherford Works recently hosted the  first 8th Grade Career Pathway Fair of 2016 at Siegel Middle School.

The Career Pathways Partnership program uses the framework of the Tennessee Department of Education Career & Technical Education Pathways to build partnerships between employers and Murfreesboro City Schools, Rutherford County schools, and our post-secondary education partners to enhance students’ life skills, encourage career exploration, and enable them to make the successful transition to post high school education and the 21st century workplace.

Mentors Needed for tnAchieves

We still need 213 mentors from Rutherford County to assist with the tnAchieves program. As a mentor, you'll invest 10-15 hours annually assisting 5-10 high school seniors.

The role is simple but significant. tnAchieves designed its mentoring program so even the busiest executive, parent, or young professional can make a meaningful impact. No experience is needed, and training will be provided.
