Pope appoints Creighton alum to Denver Archbishop

You don’t fill out a job application to become an archbishop. There’s no interview to complete or resume to submit. What happened to James Golka, BA’89? On a random Monday last February, his phone rang. The voice on the other end: “The Holy Father has appointed you Archbishop of Denver. What do you say?” Read why Golka said “yes.”

Let’s play ball! Creighton’s practice field opens

Nebraska’s governor and Omaha’s mayor were among the special guests who joined University leaders and students to celebrate the completion of Creighton’s new all-turf field. The space will host the Bluejays’ baseball program, local youth events and student functions. It’s also the primary practice site for NCAA Men’s College World Series teams. See photos of the field.
