Welcome to the first edition of the SOLVE-CHD monthly update newsletter to our Investigators and Stakeholders group. This monthly e-newsletter will keep you up to date on the key progress of the SOLVE-CHD projects and provides updates on our events and initiatives. Feel free to email Julia (julia.ning@sydney.edu.au) if you wish to share/add anything from your area that directly/indirectly related to the SOLVE-CHD program. 

SOLVE Network Launch Event 

The date is locked in - Thursday 29th April 2021 1-2pm (AEST) calendar invite with Zoom details has been sent out to all SOLVE-CHD CIs, AIs, and Stakeholders group. A list of invitees was also created, Julia will send them the invitation directly. Please feel free to share the Eventbrite link with anyone who might be interested in attending. 

National Cardiac Registry (NCR) Module 

Early Feb, a request letter for SOLVE-CHD to establish a CRSP module within NCR was sent, Julie was invited to the NCR Steering Committee meeting (19th Feb) to present this initiative. It was a great meeting, they showed genuine interest in the initiative, and it has gone to their management committee for further discussion. We are currently waiting for NCR to get back to us for the next step and will keep you all posted with the progress.  

SOLVE Topic List 

Thanks everyone for your contribution, the SOLVE-CHD topic list has been developed, please click here to view. The list will be used as a guide for recruiting PhD Students, Fellowships and EMCR Research projects. While the PhD Scholarships and Fellowships will only be available for participating institutions (USYD, Deakin and UWA), the projects will be available to non-participating institutions. This is just the first version, feel free to email Julia if you would like to add any relevant topics to the list.  The list will be reviewed by the Executive Committee and updated accordingly. 
SOLVE PhD Scholarships: up to three FT scholarships will be offered (stipend $32,000 p.a for up to three years) they will be advertised through USYD, Deakin and UWA Scholarship Office, $10,000 topup scholarship will also be available. The links will be shared once the advertisement goes live (around mid-April).
Fellowships: similarly, up to three FT fellowships will be available at the participating institutions and will be advertised through the hosting University (USYD, Deakin and UWA). The job link will be shared once it becomes available.  

SOLVE Website and Social Media
