2024 Nominees Requested

The 2023-2024 Nominating Committee, which will serve through the national convention in Tampa, Florida, is prepared to receive nominees for the 2024 election, according to Terry Hinds, chairman.

The following board and commission positions will be filled in 2024: Women Nationally Active for Christ (3), D6 Family Ministry (3), IM, Inc. (3), Welch College (3), Commission for Theological Integrity (1), Historical Commission (1), Media Commission (1), Music Commission (1), General Board (10), Executive Committee (3).

Leadership Conference

The 2023 Leadership Conference will be held December 4-5 at the Sonesta Nashville Airport. The theme is “Reclaiming Glory” with Mark Clifton as the keynote speaker. Mark is executive director of Church Replanting & Rural Strategy for the North American Mission Board of the SBC. Find more information or register at https://nafwb.org/leader.

2023 World Missions Offering

Sunday, August 27, is the 2023 World Missions Offering, supporting the ministries and missionaries of IM as they carry out God’s purpose in 34 countries around the world. Plan to give generously to the WMO as Free Will Baptists continue to endeavor to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. IM has made several of their WMO resources (bulletin inserts, a calendar, posters, etc.) available for churches and small groups to promote the offering at https://iminc.org/wmo/.

Church Extension Loan Fund Update

For over 40 years the Church Extension Loan Fund has provided a mutually beneficial financial avenue for participating investors and churches to work in partnership for expansion and growth. 
Effective September 1, 2023, all CELF investment return rates will increase by ½%. This will bring all investment return rates between 3% and 4.5% depending on the amount invested.

"Perspectives" to Be Offered at Welch

Welch College will host "Perspectives on the World Christian Movement" on campus this Fall, Monday nights 6:00-9:00 PM. Perspectives is a fifteen-lesson education course exploring different aspects of God's global purpose in a multi-faceted learning experience. The course examines the story of God fulfilling His promises from four vantage points or "perspectives" — Biblical, Historical, Culture, and Strategic.
