Bridging Generations: Black Health Leaders of Tomorrow
The Black Girl Pre-Health Collective will be hosting their second annual pre-health conference, Bridging Generations: Black Health Leaders of Tomorrow, on Saturday, April 18th from 8AM-4PM.
This event will include a graduate student panel, health professional panel, admissions info-sessions for medical school, nursing programs, physician assistant programs, and physical therapy programs. Additional interactive breakout sessions will also be included where attendees can learn how to perform venipuncture, develop their professional documents, or discuss bioethics case studies.
This 8 hour event is PE hour eligible, meaning that Milken students can fulfill their Professional Enhancement requirements all in one event! Various healthcare careers will be represented throughout the event, including public health, medicine, physician assistant, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, and more!
All are welcome to attend using this registration link. Please register as soon as possible, as spots for breakout rooms are limited.

We will be having our next General Body Meeting on April 15th at 6pm in SEH room B1220. We also would like to share the opportunity to participate in the Rise Against Hunger Fundraiser on April 7th in the first floor conference room of Milken.

CULI 1810 - Fundamentals of Culinary Medicine
Open for Summer and Fall 2026 registration!
This elective blends hands-on cooking, nutrition science, and public health.
Imagine waking up to the smell of bubbling shakshuka or preparing a vibrant chimichurri shrimp dish with friends, all while learning how food choices impact long-term health. In this course, students gain practical cooking skills, a foundation in evidence-based nutrition, and a deeper understanding of the role food plays in health and community.
Students will:
-Build confidence in the kitchen and learn how to create flexible, nutritious meals that suit their lifestyle and preferences
-Develop a deeper understanding of how nutrition impacts personal and public health
-Learn how to interpret and apply nutrition science in everyday life

GW OT Program: Equity Event
Join the GW Occupational Therapy program’s Equity Committee for a vital in-person session dedicated to preparing the next generation of healthcare providers for inclusive practice on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the OT Facility in the Watergate Complex.
We are proud to feature Danielle Centi, DrOT, OTR/L, FAOTA, CBIS, TIE (@Dr.D_TheSexOT), who will lead a deep dive into the essentials of gender-affirming care alongside current GW Doctor of Occupational Therapy students. This in-person event moves beyond theory to provide practical, clinical tools for everyday practice.

This Is Public Health® (TIPH) Virtual Mini Graduate School Fairs
The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is sharing upcoming FREE opportunities for undergraduate students considering a graduate degree in public health—ASPPH’s. Each fair features a live info session with participating schools and programs, followed by virtual breakout rooms for one-on-one conversations with admissions representatives.

AADSAS Fee Assistance Program
On April 15, the ADEA AADSAS® Fee Assistance Program (FAP), application will open for the 2026-27 cycle. FAP is a fee waiver program that helps eligible individuals who need financial support for their dental school application. Individuals approved for FAP receive a fee waiver for three dental school applications in ADEA AADSAS® (Associated American Dental School Application Service).
Applicants are encouraged to apply early to this first-come, first-served program. Applications can be submitted through June 2, and notifications will be sent beginning June 3.
New in 2026!!
To align with the dental school application timeline and give early FAP applicants more time to submit their ADEA AADSAS designations, notifications to approved applicants will be sent out starting June 3, 2026. Most applicants will receive decisions by the end of June. Approved FAP applicants will have 30 days from notification to submit their ADEA AADSAS application (ADEA may approve additional applicants as funds allow).
To simplify the documentation process, we are accepting FAFSA submission summaries that verify a student’s Student Aid Index and include an estimated Pell Grant amount.

Entry Year 2027 Updates
Information on updates and changes to the TMDSAS application will be available on April 10.
We’re rolling out a series of short, virtual workshops designed to help applicants navigate each part of the TMDSAS application process, with guidance directly from our team.
New videos will be released at 12:00 PM (CT) on each listed date.
We encourage you to take advantage of these resources early in the cycle.
