The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund RRRF (Round 2) 

Venture Norfolk continues to accept applications for loans with a focus on assisting “main street” businesses, such as retail shops, restaurants, corner stores, and businesses of strategic importance to our communities, for 0% up to $40,000.

The Canadian Manufacturing & Exporters Association (CME) Efficiency Grant

Federal funding up to $25,000 of the cost of technology and/or operational efficiency. This program connects small manufacturing enterprise manufacturers in southern Ontario with qualified experts to get customized technology assessments.

Norfolk County Economic Recovery Taskforce

The Economic Recovery Taskforce will oversee the implementation of the Economic Recovery Plan, which was passed by Council in December 2020.  Several subcommittees are in the process of being formed and will focus on specific sections of the plan.

As the implementation moves forward, the Taskforce continues to seek project ideas that can support business recovery and building future business resilience against the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Job Portal

The Workforce Planning Board of Grand Erie (WPBGE) job board is now available. This central resource has a robust search function allows you to filter by several criteria like region, or industy. Businesses may also monitor the site to see if their job postings are being featured.

Labour Force Statistics

Norfolk County ended the year with a 6.3% unemployment rate, which was the rate back in November of 2019. In December 2020, Norfolk's employment consisted of 84% full-time and 16% part-time.
