Elite Burgers, LLC, a Newnan, Georgia-based Wendy’s franchisee owned and operated by long-time industry veteran Doug Augustine, has sold three Wendy’s restaurants located in Clayton, Georgia; Franklin, North Carolina; and Cashiers, North Carolina to Tar Heel Capital Corporation (“Tar Heel Capital”). Tar Heel Capital, one of the largest Wendy’s franchisees in North and South Carolina, currently owns and operates more than 80 restaurants. Elite Burgers and its various affiliates continue to own and operate ten Wendy’s and 17 Taco Bell restaurants and the real estate underlying 24 of its units. Auspex Capital acted as the sell-side M&A advisor to Elite Burgers for the transaction.
