Join the CMU Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship on Tuesday, March 23 for its virtual McGinnis Venture Competition final round celebration. Come watch and cheer on the graduate and undergraduate final round teams as they make their final pitches for the chance to win $60K in investments. 
Advanced registration is required. Zoom information will be sent to all registered attendees the day before the event.

Honeycomb Credit Closes $1.75M Seed Funding Round

Honeycomb Credit, the crowdfunding platform that allows small businesses to borrow money directly from their own customers, has just closed a $1.75M seed round. Honeycomb is co-founded by CEO George Cook and Ken Martin. Also on the team is CMU Tepper School of Business alumnus and COO Christian Bilger, and several others. Read more.   
Aspire360 Provides Crisis Coaching for Entrepreneurs
Aspire360, co-founded by CMU alumna and Innovation Scholar Eleanor Haglund and ten-time founder and lead coach Ed Engler, is a network for entrepreneurs that provides facilitator-led, peer-to-peer community groups (Axioms) mentorship, community and other resources to accelerate their professional development. Aspire360 members are CEOs of pre-seed to Series A companies who need to build ongoing and lasting relationships with other like-minded leaders to solve tough problems, tackle their fundraising rounds and accelerate revenue growth.

Aspire360 is offering initial coaching sessions and a 1-month free trial of its community to CMU students and alumni. Email eleanor@aspire360.io and mention "CMU" to activate.

2021-2023 Undergraduate Innovation Scholars Program

The CMU Swartz Center has opened applications for its 2021-2023 cohort of Undergraduate Innovation Scholars. Undergraduate students from across CMU may apply beginning March 5, 2021 through April 2, 2021. This two-year program fosters innovation and entrepreneurship, provides mentoring opportunities and seeks to increase the number of successful startup companies initiated by or involving CMU's undergraduate students. The two-year program includes academic coursework, work experience at a startup, networking and mentorship--given and received.
