The American Academy of Dermatology Association Annual Meeting 2026 in Denver proved to be a landmark moment for GW Dermatology, as our students and faculty delivered an outstanding showing on a national stage.
Building on months of preparation, GW SMHS students successfully presented an impressive portfolio of research, contributing to conversations spanning clinical innovation, patient-centered care, and the future of dermatology. From advancements in medical and pediatric dermatology to explorations in artificial intelligence, health equity, and teledermatology, GW’s presence was both dynamic and impactful.
A particularly proud moment came as three GW abstracts were recognized among the Top 20 Finalists in the Poster Exhibit Award competition—an achievement that reflects the rigor, originality, and relevance of our trainees’ work.
Beyond presentations, the meeting served as a valuable platform for mentorship, networking, and professional growth. Students engaged with leading experts, exchanged ideas with peers from across the country, and strengthened their place within the broader dermatology community.
As we reflect on AADA 2026, this milestone reinforces GW Dermatology’s continued commitment to fostering academic excellence, supporting trainee development, and contributing meaningfully to the advancement of dermatologic science.
