Where will you go today and whom will you take with you? I have a point of view of my life today, but God has “view.” He sees all. What if we asked him to order our steps today? Wouldn’t he do it?
As they came out of the water, the Ethiopian was filled with great joy for his journey home. Right after he baptized the Ethiopian eunuch, Philip was suddenly taken away. Like Elijah before him, Philip found himself carried on the wind of the Spirit. From Samaria, he went to a desert road. From the desert road, he landed in Azotus and preached the good news in all the towns until he reached Caesarea.
Wherever God takes us today, we may be - we ought to be - the “good news” people. Having received Jesus, we cannot keep him to ourselves. Every place we go today, we will find people who are in great need. I don’t know them all. Neither do you. But every one of them needs Jesus. Eyes open. Hearts willing. Mouths talking. Tell the good news. “Preach the gospel everywhere you go. If necessary (and it usually is) use words.”
