Continues operational priorities such as data benchmarking, collaboration through education (heart-to-heart videos, revamping the advisory council)
- Works to understand the current landscape of telehealth cardiac rehab
- Optimizes patient- and physician-focused guideline medical management for cardiac rehab
- Includes a study on how physician attitudes impact cardiac rehab
|
Heart-to-Heart Initiative: Amplifying Patient Voices to Encourage CR Enrollment
Heart-to-Heart is a new initiative aiming to amplify the real voices of Michigan patients who have experienced CR. Patient stories told through compelling audio, visual, and written storytelling will foster broader conversations about the life-changing impact of cardiac rehabilitation and inspire those considering attendance. Learn more on our blog.

MISHC is a collaboration between the Michigan Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons (MSTCVS) and the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Cardiovascular Consortium (BMC2). Support for MISHC is provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and Blue Care Network as part of the BCBSM Value Partnerships program.
Although Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and MISHC work collaboratively, the opinions, beliefs and viewpoints expressed by the author do not necessarily reflect the opinions, beliefs, and viewpoints of BCBSM or any of its employees. Further, BCBSM does not have access to MISHC data, and all patient episodes occurring at engaged hospitals are included in the data registries, regardless of payer.
