Fall is in full swing and we hope that you had a chance to visit the VRC

during our Open House or at our table at the Party in the Park.
Over the Summer, the VRC was hard at work making a number of improvements to the center including new lighting, computers, and furniture. Fall programming includes multiple opportunities to develop career skills, celebrate Veteran identity, and explore healthy living habits.

Of note, we are super excited to be offering a 6-week program that explores 'Mindful Body Movements' to promote a healthy emotional and mental life balance. Lastly, don't forgot our weekly Coffee Talks! Hope to see you all soon and best wishes for an amazing Term!!

Join the VRC's director, Ron Mansolilli, for an immersive 4-week workshop designed to enhance your resume, build your interviewing skills, and get you ready for the workforce. This course will involve a weekly Friday meeting with Ron, an interactive workbook to complete, and short educational videos about the steps necessary to launch your career.

Join the VRC and the National Endowment for the Arts at the Lincoln Hall Boiler Room Theater (LH55) for a magnificent performance of "An Iliad," by Lisa Peterson and Denis O'hare.
For our Veterans, register now for an exclusive creative writing & monologue workshop following the performance from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.

In honor of Veteran's day, the VRC will be hosting a food drive to restock our micro food pantry! The food within the pantry is available to all VRC patrons and the only monitored aspects are the expiration dates.
Come support your local Veteran community with canned goods and other non-perishables. Donations to the food pantry are welcome at anytime.

The Department Of Labor has several Employment workshops happening this May, including ones about Resume Writing, Federal Hiring, and Marketing Yourself!
The VRC will be hosting the My Next Move workshop at 10:00 AM and a second workshop about Marketing Yourself at 12:30 PM in our space, located in the basement of SMSU, room 18.

As of September 30th, 2024, the VRC will be returning to it's regularly scheduled hours. Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, our doors will be open with coffee in the pot. Make sure to stop by and let us wish you a happy Fall!
