A Creative Inquiry course led by mathematics lecturer Alice Hui, with support from art professor Joey Manson, is challenging that assumption, showing students that the two disciplines often overlap in surprising and visually striking ways.

Scientists at the Pee Dee Research and Education Center, led by molecular plant breeder Sachin Rustgi, identified naturally occurring peanut lines with lower levels of the proteins responsible for most allergic reactions. Their discovery could help plant breeders develop peanut varieties that reduce the risk of accidental allergic exposure.
