The Student Affairs office is currently accepting funding requests for student conference travel. Funding is available for Summer 2026 and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Please help us spread the word and share with students in your classes. 

Each student is eligible to receive funding once per academic year, with a maximum award of up to $500.

All requests must be submitted at least three weeks before the travel date. Summer travel must be completed by July 31. For questions, please contact Student Affairs at 210-784-1354 or email StudentAffairs@tamusa.edu.

The One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OB3) upcoming federal regulation changes will impact student loan eligibility. Beginning next year, federal loans will be prorated for students who are not enrolled full-time. Review the latest updates on our website.

Dr. Berenice de la Cruz was recently bestowed with a first-of-its-kind honor in recognition of her innovative work as a teacher and therapist. During the Texas Association for Behavior Analysis annual conference, she received the inaugural Behavior Analysis Trailblazer in Texas Award. The award recognizes individuals who have advanced behavior analysis into new domains across the state through innovation, leadership, and sustained impact.  

Born in South Sudan, Gabriel Til left the war-torn country for the United States with aspirations to further his education and advance his basketball career. He accomplished both goals at A&M-San Antonio, where he helped the men’s basketball team secure its first-ever spot in the Red River Athletic Conference Tournament. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.   

In a recent collaboration, Toyota Motor North America, which operates a manufacturing facility just a few miles from campus, gifted $25,000 to the University. The funds will support the development of a state-of-the-art laboratory for the Electronic Systems Engineering Technology program, which  prepares students for careers in a variety of growing industries.  

As a first-generation college student and single mother of two young children, Alyssa Garcia has overcome more than her share of challenges to graduate with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. The oldest of six siblings, Garcia grew up in a household that struggled both financially and personally. Determined to create a better life for her and her family, she has secured a contract to teach in North East ISD after she graduates.
