"Hello, World. Meet Oregon." Campaign Garners Statewide Support

More than 75 communities across the state will join Travel Oregon in welcoming the world to celebrate the World Athletics Championships Oregon22, July 15-24 in Eugene.
Following the Fourth of July holiday, communities from Bandon to Hermiston to Medford will be dressed in the “Hello, World. Meet Oregon” campaign collateral offered earlier this spring. In addition to signage posted throughout the state, branded billboards can be seen along the I-5 corridor and at the Portland International Airport.

    10-Year Strategic Vision Adopted

We invite you to read the vision.

Oregon Dark Sky Tourism Toolkit Now Available

Travel Oregon has developed a new resource to help communities learn about the benefits of protecting—and promoting—Oregon’s dark skies. Dark sky tourism is a concept that includes stargazing and other unique nighttime activities like moon-bathing, nocturnal creature guided tours, indigenous and cowboy storytelling, night sky inspired artistic events, and more. Oregon boasts some of the most pristine conditions in the world for these nighttime activities, and with 33% of humanity no longer able to see the Milky Way from their home, a growing number of people are interested in traveling to experience a dark sky scattered with stars.
View the Oregon Dark Sky Tourism Toolkit to learn how to develop dark sky tourism in your destination.
