Thank You Mr. Hubbard!
"Thank you, Mr. Hubbard, for everything. Because of you, this School is a thriving community."
"Thank you, Mr. Hubbard, for always greeting me with a smile and my name. It always made me feel like I belonged here."
"Thank you for starting the SMBA! I learned so much by playing on these teams!"
"Mr. Hubbard, You have made such an impact on my life. I am the person I am today because of you."
Our students honored Mr. Hubbard with personalized messages of thanks and special remembrances this week. Their Hands of Kindness filled the School entrance and halls leading to Mr. Hubbard's retirement celebration on Thursday. The evening was a wonderful homecoming for alumni, families and special friends of St. Michael's and was a joyous way to honor Mr. Hubbard and his legacy.
Click here to see some initial photos from the event and to read the touching "Fairytale of the Heart" poem (written by Gloria Williams Proakis) that was read to Mr. Hubbard.

A reminder too that children can access our St. Michael's digital eBook collection this summer. Every child has been assigned a username. Your passcode is: dragons. Please contact Mrs.Wise or Ms. Price if you have misplaced the username information. -Mrs. Wise and Ms. Price
Spring Sports Success!
Our Middle School Dragons faced some fierce sports competition this Spring and overall had great seasons! The Boys' Lacrosse team finished the season 5-4-1 and the Girls' Lacrosse team finished 4-4. Our track team made great strides, often against older teams. We are proud of all of our players!
A sincere THANK YOU to all of our coaches this season: Neal Fleenor, Pete Waldbauer, Joe McCool, Brian Tinnerino and Katherine Martin. We are most appreciative of all of your efforts to train, guide and encourage our athletes!
Middle School Girls Take A Body Flow Class

An instructor from ACAC came to the Middle School on Monday, May 11th to teach a Les Mills Body Flow class.  The girls were able to try a mixture of Tai Chi, Pilates, Yoga, Relaxation, and other strength and stretching exercises during their PE class. Namaste!

Fourth Grade to Enjoy Their Home Grown Salad
The fourth grade students will be picking and eating the greens and other vegetables they have been growing in their new raised bed gardens on May 27.

Their salads will include 12 different types of greens, including kale, arugula, and spinach, as well as radishes, onions, strawberries, and beets.  Many thanks to the Agriculture in the Classroom Organization for their grant money which funded this project.
KUDOS TO THE ZOMBIES!
I would like to say what a fantastic job our cast and crew did on our
show and how proud I was of each and every one of them! I would also
like to say a big THANK YOU to all the parents for their help, support,
patience and willingness to work around our crazy schedule!!  Applause! Applause!  -Jan Guarino, Director
Missing Anything?
Our Lost and Found has grown quite large. A quick look at the pile revealed numerous fleeces, North Face jackets and winter coats, Ugg snow boots, lacrosse sticks and sports equipment and more. We have Lost and Found items from Magic Dragon Day as well (sunglasses, towels, water bottles, etc.). PLEASE stop in and see if any of it is yours.
Lastly, we have a fondue pot, cookie sheet and electric coffee pot in the SMPA room.
We will donate all Lost and Found at the end of School year.
