Kresge Library Building to Reopen August 17

We are excited to announce that Kresge Library, including all Medical Library spaces, will be reopening to patrons on Monday, August 17 at 7:30am! We appreciate your patience as we worked to make our spaces safe for everyone!
New Kresge Library Building Hours
Monday - Friday: 7:30am - 11:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 10:00am - 6:00pm
 COVID-19 Precautions When Visiting the Library
When visiting and studying in the library, complete the daily health screening form prior to coming to the library and continue to follow university policies including:
 All staff and visitors will be expected to wear a mask at all times except when eating or drinking.
 Medical Library Spaces & Physical Materials
Study Spaces: Our Medical Library Study spaces will look a little different when you visit! All have been reconfigured to adhere to social distancing guidelines and maximum occupancy requirements:
  • Collaborative Study Room = 6 students
  • Quiet Study Room = 5 students
  • 9 Individual Study Rooms = 1 student each. Individual rooms may be reserved on a first come, first served basis. Reservations will be made for the entire day and can be booked two weeks in advance using the Online Reservation System. Cleaning will occur each evening after the library closes. 
Also, please be mindful of directional signage on floors and doors as you navigate the Medical Library spaces.

Medical Library Office Hours & Staffing: One Medical Library faculty or staff member will be working onsite in the Medical Library Office Monday - Friday from 8:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am - 6:00pm. 
Textbooks: Print textbooks may be used anywhere in the Kresge Library building, but will be quarantined immediately after use and then reshelved after 72 hours.
Skeletons, Bone Sets, and Other Study Items: During our staffed hours above, you may come to the Medical Library Office to request a skeleton, bone set, technology items (iPads, chargers, etc), or whiteboard supplies. Items used will be quarantined for 72 hours after each use. The Medical Library Office door will remain closed at all times so please ring the doorbell outside the office door for service.
Reference & Research Consultations: All reference and research consultations with library faculty will remain virtual through email, phone and web conferencing. Visit our Remote Services webpage for more information.
