Shake off winter's chill at our March Gladness Luncheon, where we'll trade basketballs for belly laughs in this joyful spring event—a first for ILR. On the menu will be a plated meal of your choosing, followed by a heaping helping of laughter with entertainment provided by comedian and ventriloquist Mike Hemmelgarn. Learn more.

Broken Country, Broken Families, Broken Hearts: Divided Families of the Civil War

We are delighted to announce that Berkeley Square is once again sponsoring ILR's spring semester and will host an exclusive tour of their beautiful Hamilton community for our members and non-members. Tour sign-ups will take place during ILR's normal semester registration.

Since 1997, our focus has been on creating a positive impact in the lives of lifelong learners within our community and beyond. We express our sincere gratitude to Berkeley Square and all our supporters for placing their trust in us as we strive to make a meaningful difference.

Call for proposals

No, not that kind, although this is the most popular day for it.

Harness all the knowledge you've acquired throughout your career, travels, hobbies, and lifetime, and transform those experiences into an intriguing course for ILR. Current, past, and new instructors can now teach for ILR from anywhere in the world. We are currently collecting virtual, hybrid, and in-person course proposals for next fall's semester, October 7 through November 8, 2024.

Although what's pictured isn't quite the proposal we had in mind, we'll look forward to your course proposal just as much. We will be accepting course proposals—diamonds optional—until May 10. Everyone has a passion, hobby, profession, or skill worth sharing. Submit your ILR fall 2024 course proposal. Chances are, the answer will be yes!

Scripps Gerontology Center invites you to connect with current Miami University students to build intergenerational friendships by sharing life stories and the arts: music, poetry, story writing, and visual arts.
