UChicago partners showcase South Side cultural assets
The arts are a core community asset, and the South Side of Chicago recently served as a shining example to 100 artists and arts administrators from around the country. As part of a two-day preconference for the annual Americans for the Arts convention, they journeyed to the South Side to engage in case- and place-based learning about the values, policies, and practices required to achieve and sustain cultural equity.

The South Side portion of the June 10-11 preconference treated participants to events at the Reva and David Logan Center for the Arts, DuSable Museum of African American History, Arts Incubator, and Little Black Pearl. The conference also featured tours of Hyde Park, Bronzeville, and Washington Park.
