April 2026

Get ready for liftoff!

TRSL’s new member portal, myTRSL, is replacing Member Access.
Over the next few weeks, registration instructions for myTRSL will be rolled out to active members through their employers. It’s important to complete your registration for the new member portal since your current Member Access login and password will not work with myTRSL.

The instructions will include a how-to video and step-by-step guides, but we’re confident that registering will be a snap.

myTRSL is more than a fresh, new look. It offers improved navigation, enhanced security, and added tools for every mile of your retirement journey.
What you should know about Constitutional Amendment 3
We’ve put together resources on the constitutional amendment involving TRSL that you’ll see on the May 16 ballot.

Constitutional Amendment 3 proposes making a one-time payment to TRSL’s unfunded accrued liability (UAL) as a way to permanently fund teacher and school support staff pay increases.

To learn more, you can:

Gov. Jeff Landry asked TRSL to share with our membership a letter from himself and other state officials on this topic. Read the letter here.
The 2026 Regular Legislative Session kicked off March 9 and must adjourn by 6 p.m., June 1. TRSL is tracking a number of bills that affect TRSL.
Want to receive legislative updates via email? Sign up for TRSL eNews and select “Legislation” under topics of interest.

Happy 90th birthday to TRSL!
2026 marks TRSL’s 90th birthday. That’s a milestone worthy of celebrating!

In 90 years, the world’s evolved from Studebakers to spaceships. What hasn’t changed is the reliability of a TRSL retirement benefit. Our members retire knowing they’ll never outlive their benefit, even if they live to 90 and beyond.
