Meeting Recap, Industry Updates & Recent News
What did I miss at the LEDC meeting?
Attendees had the opportunity to hear from David Bunch on exciting plans for Bonnet Springs Park. This land has historically been earmarked and used for industrial purposes, and this is our opportunity to reclaim it, reverse the environmental impact, and transform it into one of the greatest urban landscapes in the country.
Emily Rogers facilitated a panel discussion on Talent Recruitment + Retention. This is a common obstacle we hear from our members.  We’re excited to facilitate more conversations like this at future meetings. Psst… do your employees still think there’s nothing to do in Lakeland? Let us help you change their mind.

Incoming mayor Bill Mutz presented outgoing Mayor Howard Wiggs with a key to the City. Both shared their heartfelt love for Lakeland, reflected on our past, and dreamed of our future. What a pleasure it was to honor Howard and witness this fun exchange.

We wrapped up the night with food, drinks, and great conversation. Thank you again MIDFLORIDA  for hosting our annual Christmas party and Terrie Lobb for providing great food.
