A professor and chair of the Margaret H. Lloyd SmartState Endowment within the Department of Forestry and Environmental Conservation (FEC), Baldwin has served as Clemson faculty for nearly 20 years. Baldwin was recently appointed as the executive director of the Clemson Experimental Forest.

Clemson Libraries is offering awards for faculty to teach using Open Education Resources (OER) or low-cost materials in the Spring 2025 semester. Selected faculty will receive $1,000 for teaching courses using materials that reduce individual student costs to under $35 and $1,500 if they can make textbook and learning materials completely free.
