Halloween is my favorite holiday. Are NYU and COVID-19 going to cancel it this year? Can't we have a *little* fun?
We know. First we make you wear masks, then we make you stay away from your friends, and, you guessed it, now, on the eve of one of the most fun holidays of the year, we are asking you to stay the course.
We do have lots of
fun activities planned, or you can check out
TimeOut's Guide to Halloween to see what's going on in the city, but the fact is, this year is different. Avoid parties and large gatherings, and while you can still try out your spookiest costumes and makeup, you must still wear a mask—the kind that covers your nose and mouth. And don't be tricked by intriguing VIP invites for secret off-campus parties—these are super spreader events in disguise. Just don't do it.
Remember, we want to keep the community safe, and Halloween is no exception. Unsafe behavior may result in spread of COVID-19, or suspension.
