Welcome to Fall 2021

Dear Loyola Law School Faculty and Staff,

As you settle into the second week of the fall semester after 18 months of teaching and working off-campus, ITS wants to offer some technology updates and reminders to help you with a smooth transition back to the in-person settings.

WiFi Connections Reminder

You have most likely changed your password since you were last on campus and you may find your laptop or mobile device will not automatically reconnect to LMU-Wireless.

You will need to clear/forget that previous connection and then reconnect (both to be prompted to enter your username/password as well as accept a new Wifi security certificate). Please navigate to the ITS Knowledge Base article (KB0010687) for instructions on how to forget a network.

Back-to-Campus Checklist

What to expect from your computer when you come back onto campus after being away for a while:

Check wireless and/or Bluetooth devices (mouse/keyboards)
Batteries can leak and corrode after long periods when not used. Batteries will be provided at the Faculty Support Services (FSS) if needed. Wired keyboards and mice will also be available.

Prompt to reset your password (for laptops)
You may be prompted to reset your password if you are bringing your laptop back onto campus. While connected to your docking station, login using your most recent credentials. When prompted to “enter new password” follow the steps to reset the password. If you are unable to reset your password or get an error, please contact the ITS Service Desk.

Login error
If you receive the message - “The trust relationship between this workstation and the primary domain failed” - when attempting to login, please contact the ITS Service Desk.

ITS Service Desk (R210)
ITS Service Desk, located in the computer lab on the 2nd floor of Rains Library, is open. Mon. to Thu. from 9 am-2 pm and 3 pm-5:30 pm; and Fri. from 9 am-2 pm and 3 pm-5 pm.
