Simpson Lunar PendantsÂ
Lunar Pendants are an artistic extension of Josh’s NASA-grant research into how silica-rich regolith, i.e. lunar soil, might one day be used to create blown-glass structures on the Moon.
Sparked by this research, Josh purchased his own simulant regolith and transformed it into a form of molten moon dust. He shaped this into jewel-like pendants, each with a splash of 24-carat gold leaf. Every Lunar Pendant evokes sunlight glinting on the surface of the Moon in the deep black of space: an inspired fusion of science and art.Â
