President Michael Driscoll shared a message about coming together and caring for one another as the jury began deliberations in the case of the former Minneapolis police officer charged, and convicted yesterday, in the death of George Floyd.

Pennsylvania’s State System of Higher Education will freeze tuition at its 14 universities for a third consecutive year. IUP’s tuition and fees will remain at current levels.

The State System’s virtual event to raise awareness about sexual assault is tonight at 7:00. Featured speakers are Tracey Vitchers, from It’s On Us, and Denise Pearson, system vice chancellor.

Previously focused on party alternatives, the campaign switched gears this year and encouraged student groups to share messages on social media about challenges during the pandemic.
Last week, the Student Accounting Association held its final Zoom meeting of the semester. Guest speakers were CPAs Tia Gamler ’03, of Rotating Machinery Services, and Steve Bruckner ’06, of CD Industrial.

President Michael Driscoll will host a town hall for students Thursday at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom. Topics will include the fall semester, plans for the future, and scheduling changes. Come with questions. Please register in advance.
Undergraduates are needed to help spread the word about Haven Project programs and topics. Apply by Friday to become a Haven peer educator.
