Dear Alumni and Friends:
This past year, students in the College of Arts & Science have continued to distinguish themselves in many different ways: as Rhodes Scholarship finalists, national research award winners, and Fulbright grant recipients, not to mention as college ambassadors, organization leaders, charitable volunteers, and much more.
Through our outstanding faculty and our core liberal arts education, our goal at CAS is to provide each of our students with the academic tools and real-world experiential learning opportunities that will allow them to achieve their career goals.
Our success is in many ways owed to your success as well as your time, talent, and treasure.
- Your professional achievements show us that our efforts are working. We learn of your success stories all throughout the year and use them as inspiring examples for our students.
- Your engagement with our faculty and students provides us with insight, advice, and encouragement to think and do things in new ways -- proving that anything is possible with a liberal arts degree.
- And your financial support enables us to attract and retain the best faculty and students, place them in state-of-the-art programs and facilities, and offer unique and impactful experiential learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
In short, CAS is a reflection of you, and I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to work on your behalf to lead it.
Best wishes for a wonderful holiday season and a healthy and prosperous New Year.
