Summer 2021 Session Update


For the Summer 2021 Session, Saddle Up! will continue to operate with modified programming for all programs. Our Fall and Spring Session went smoothly, and we are now ready to begin Summer Session by moving to Phase Four of our opening plan. Of course, we will continue following CDC health and safety protocols and respond immediately to any changes in governmental agency guidance. Everyone on property will be signed in and out, have temperature and symptoms checked prior to entering the building by staff or volunteer, and be required to wear a mask. By signing in and out, we will have a complete list of everyone on property to allow for contact tracing.

Phase Four: Begins Summer 2021 Starting June 7th

What's Changing

  • We are able to welcome back more sidewalker volunteers and parents/guardians can choose whether to participant in their child’s program.

  •  Adaptive Riding, Alumni Transitions, Interactive Vaulting, and Equestrian Club will be allowed to increase to three participants per lesson.

  • Fun on the Farm and the other skill weeks will be allowed to have four participants per week.

  • Grooming and tacking will NOT be part of Adaptive Riding lessons at this time, however, we will be increasing the lesson time from 40 minutes to 45 minutes for all Adaptive Riding lessons.

  • Unmounted skills (grooming and tacking) can be done on site for certain programs with limitations and proper sanitization.

What's Not Changing
  • The lobby will remain closed to parents and visitors.  For the summer, cabanas will be set up outside for parents/visitors to observe programs when possible.

  • All participants, staff, and volunteers will still be REQUIRED to wear masks.

  • We will continue increased cleaning and sanitization of tack, equipment, facility doors, etc.
