| "Clothes make a statement. Costumes tell a story."
-- Mason Coole

| If costumes tell a story, what wonderful stories we had this week at St. Michael's! These include:- The Kindergarten memories made during their endearing costume parade
- First graders using descriptive words to write about their Halloween ensembles
- Fourth graders wearing funny hats and writing Halloween-themed cards to their first grade reading pals
- Parents dressing as "Goal-Busters" in support of the Annual Fund
- Middle Schoolers dressing uniquely to showcase their team spirit at Friday's Advisor Group Games.
Perhaps the biggest story of all is that what makes St. Michael's so very special is not only first-class academics but the vibrant culture that exists here. That is the best Halloween treat ever! Be sure to check out our St M FACEBOOK and TWITTER pages for this week's posts on St. Michael's culture, curriculum, community and stage performances.

LS Fruit Challenge
The Lower School will be participating in a November fruit and vegetable challenge! For the first 3 weeks in November, students who eat a serving of fruits or vegetables at either lunch or snack time will receive a grade-specific sticky note. On their appointed PE day, students will bring their notes to the gym and line them up along the wall. The grade with the most number of notes (per student) will earn an extra PE class and fruit celebration. More details can be found here. Students will additionally be discussing in PE class the importance of eating a well-balanced diet that includes a variety of fruits and vegetables.
