| Anti-Racism Resources for Our Community
As a Jewish community, we are obligated to work together to address racism. Among the many who now step forward in solidarity with people of color are countless Jews, representing synagogues and other Jewish institutions, who understand that we have sacred difficult work to do together. To help renew and deepen our commitment to the Black community as well as to support Jews of Color; specifically Black Jews, the JCRC of Greater Washington has created a resource list – for learning and self-examination around explicit and implicit racism, and for taking concrete anti-racist action to advance justice and equity in our society.

The Senate Must Immediately #BoostSNAP
MAZON
Before COVID-19, there were nearly 40 million people facing food insecurity. Now, with skyrocketing unemployment, it is estimated that there are over 80 million peopleat risk of hunger. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program's (SNAP) unique value can help strengthen the recovery for individuals and communities ravaged by the pandemic by providing support to anyone who needs it without judgment, showing recipients dignity and respect, and providing life-saving benefits that keep Americans healthy, safe, and well-nourished, and boosting economic activity to support local businesses and workers throughout the food chain. Join MAZON in urging Congress to immediately #BoostSNAP for all who need it. Add to the template letter to make your message unique with any local perspectives or stories.

Take Action to Support College Students Struggling with Food Insecurity
MAZON
For too many college students, food insecurity is a crippling daily reality that results in skipped meals, reduced portions, poor nutrition, and the impossible choice of whether to eat or continue investing in their academic endeavors. Unsurprisingly, all of this impacts student performance, retention, and mental and physical health. Please join MAZON in urging all Members of Congress to support legislation that helps students better connect to federal nutrition assistance programs. No one–including college students–deserves to go hungry.
