Dear Traveler:

September is a pretty special month up in Transylvania County. Still summery, but featuring cool breezes, and perhaps an early preview of the season to come up at the higher elevations. The milder temperatures and bright, sunny days definitely conspire to make you fall in love with this magical place.

But it’s not all blue skies and breezy afternoons. September also offers an awesome array of spectacular things to do should you wander in off the trail. From cycling to heritage events to Russian Masters to Adventure Games, there’s certainly something to get your attention while you’re waiting for the autumn colors to debut.

Until October,

The Adventurist

The secret is no longer very well kept, which means fans looking to hear this year’s stellar, three-day line-up, including Jerry Douglas, Tim O’Brien, Darrell Scott, Don Flemons Trio and many others, including the Rangers themselves, best be getting their tickets now.
