The 2026 Payroll Timekeeping Deadline Schedule is now available on Blink. We’ve updated next year’s payroll deadlines to help ensure accurate and timely pay for all employees.
Please note that there are important adjustments to the cutoff times taking effect in the new year.
| Key Changes Effective January 2026
|
As a reminder, due to the New Year holiday, UCPath Center will issue monthly paychecks and schedule direct deposits to post on January 2, 2026, for monthly employees.

- New Cutoff Time: Beginning in January 2026, the payroll deadline cutoff time will change from 2:30 p.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon). This change applies to both historical and current pay period deadlines.

No Weekend/Holiday Deadlines: Moving forward, there will no longer be historical or current deadlines scheduled on weekends or university holidays.

Why are we making these updates?
|
We are updating our internal payroll deadlines to create a more sustainable and efficient process for the entire campus.

- Supporting Work-Life Balance: By eliminating weekend and holiday deadlines, we aim to remove the burden of weekend/holiday processing for departmental timekeepers, supervisors, and employees.

Financial Stewardship: Given the current financial climate, this schedule assists the university in mindfully managing budgets by decreasing the operational need for overtime, where possible, by changing the deadlines to fall within standard business hours.

Operational Efficiency: These adjustments provide our central Time & Pay teams the necessary time to properly process payroll and support outbound files within standard business hours.

The Time & Pay Escalation and Advisory Services team is providing this information in advance to allow ample time for you to spread the news within your departments and adjust local schedules to meet the new campus deadlines.
We recommend reviewing the full 2026 deadlines now and planning your internal processes to support the new 12:00 p.m. cutoff time before it takes effect in January.
