Racket Sports is a new elective on Mustang Mountain. This week in 7th period, we “MIC’D UP” students during their games to give you a unique perspective on the elective.

Flags are waving in the CAC Band this year. The new addition of the Color Guard brought a whole new look to the band’s halftime performance. Color Guards are teams who perform choreographed dances and routines with various equipment to enhance and interpret the music of a marching band. 

Landon Benson took on the role as Maverick the Mustang during his senior year. “I was approached by accident, and it turned into a fun opportunity to give vitality to the student section.” We asked Landon what his favorite part was about being Maverick the Mustang. “I love being a fun part of the CAC community. I get to hype up the crowd and dance."

This week, we visited the Mustang Mountain Elementary Campus and got some amazing cheeses from these kindergartners!

Color Guard

Definition: A uniformed group, especially of soldiers, police officers, or school representatives, who parade or present their institution's flag (and sometimes their national flag) on ceremonial occasions.
