NEW: Artist Proof Planets

Every year, one of Josh's favorite activities is to make new cane designs, new color combinations and compositions that intrigue him, to be used when he creates the solid glass imaginary worlds called Planets. Before any new cane can become part of Josh's creative palette, it must be tested for compatibility with the rest of the glass used in Simpson Planets.

The result is 3" diameter Artist Proof Planets. Each orb is made with primarily a single type of new cane, to make sure that cane's coefficient of expansion (and shrinkage) will match the larger sphere. Planets that cool without cracking or losing their color integrity are the winners!

Each Artist Proof Planet comes with a little packet of the exact cane used within.

Many of you have asked about our traditional every-other November studio sale and demonstration; Josh will be traveling in Europe at that time, so we will not hold our studio sale this year.
However, we are figuring out a new date for 2026.
