September 2022
Alumni and Friends,
Welcome to the latest issue of E-Viewpoints, the newsletter for the College of Human Sciences at Texas Tech University. Our students, alumni, faculty, and staff are continuing to dedicate their lives to improving and enhancing the human condition through outreach and engagement.

This issue includes many notable academic achievements and community engagement efforts that have taken place in recent months. We have seen new leadership take shape across our college and witnessed our programs celebrate a new class of graduates ready to impact the world. From our Dean’s Advisory Council meeting to our Family Therapy Clinic expanding its reach, we continue to strive for excellence. Our faculty have done tremendous work sharing their outreach and engagement projects. Our graduate students are researching new ways to improve their community—I am honored to share these stories.

I encourage you to keep sharing your latest news and updates. We look forward to hearing about your recent accomplishments and milestones.

Tim Dodd, Ph.D.

100 Years of Texas Tech: Centennial Celebration
Centennial Celebration: 100 Years of Texas Tech
Born as Texas Technological College, Texas Tech University has never stopped aspiring to think big, to think in worldwide terms. It is from such drive that a small college founded in 1923 in the vast spaces of West Texas has become an extraordinary 21st-century engine of educational, research, cultural, economic, and athletic opportunity. In our first 100 years, Texas Tech has become a potent force for learning and discovery in areas critical to humanity in the 21st century. As one of the four original colleges on campus, Human Sciences is honored to celebrate our impactful history, and we look forward to the next 100 years. Join us as the celebration kicks off this December.
