Welcome to our first digital Annual Meeting. Our goal was create a digital Annual Meeting with all of the components of an in-person meeting. Of course it is without the usual mixing and mingling. We want to give you a recap of our activities from this past year (click on the image of the Annual Report), introduce our new president, and give you, our members, the chance to vote for our new officers and board. Last but not least, we wanted to allow Mark the opportunity to say farwell. Please reach out if you need any clarification on anything we've provided and don't forget to vote!

Welcome from Sharon Shipley

I am originally from Ripley, TN, but moved to Memphis to attend Christian Brothers University.  After graduation, my husband, Josh, and I lived in Central Gardens on Vance Avenue for ten years.  In 2011, we took a brief five-year detour to East Memphis.  We moved back to Central Gardens in December 2016. We have two children, Sam and Norah, and two fur-children, Eggo and Koufax.  I work at First Horizon Bank as a Senior Vice President in the Corporate Banking Group.

I joined the CGA Board in June 2017 as a way to get more involved in the neighborhood and to work with the Safety Committee.  I was surprised to be asked to be Vice President last year because I haven’t been a board member for long; however, I do have a love for and vested interest in Central Gardens and Midtown.  I love our old homes and beautiful neighborhood.  I adore so many of the people who live in Central Gardens and my husband and I have chosen this as the place to raise our two children.  Our friends are here, our church is here, and our children’s school is here. I am excited to serve Central Gardens Association as President in 2020/2021.

Vote for CGA Board 2020-21 here.
