Rutherford County Makes a Great Showing at the Ron Clark Academy National Amazing Shake Competition 

Congratulations to Rutherford County Amazing Shake winners, Veronica Babbitt and Madeline Heaton, who competed February 22 - 24th in Atlanta, Georgia.  This three-day competition drew 268 5th – 8th graders from across the USA, Puerto Rio and Nigeria.  Monica placed in the top 80 and Veronica in the top half.  Monica was also awarded Most Spirited.  Watch competition day video

Plans are already underway for the 2020 Rutherford County competition.  Stay tuned for a bigger and better Rutherford County Amazing Shake. 

Rutherford County Students Given Access to New Career Exploration Tool 

This past fall, Rutherford County 8th and 9th graders participated in the countywide roll out of YouScience - a one-of-a-kind aptitude and interest inventory.  Most related tools focus only on a student's interests and not what they are good at.  YouScience looks at both. This tool is also unique in that it is available for both middle and high school students. Read More

Rutherford Works and area employers are excited about this tool and the potential it has to help recruit students with aptitude for our fastest growing industries of construction, health care, information technology, manufacturing and supply chain management.
