2024-2025 OGS Annual Report

The latest OGS annual report is now available! Learn more about the international students and scholars at NYU and folks traveling to NYU’s campuses and centers outside the US. We also have lots of information on the services and programs our team offered during the 2024-2025 academic year.

Key Highlights for International Students This Month

If students are planning to graduate in the Spring 2026 semester and have fewer than a full-time course load remaining to graduate, we are encouraging them to learn more about the requirements to register for a reduced course load, directing them to our register part-time web page for further information.
In preparation for the winter break, our recommendations to students include:
- Ensuring their travel signature on their I-20/DS-2019 is up to date before traveling.
- If a student is undergraduate and graduating in December, they must have approved OPT (for F-1 students) or AT (for J-1 students) if they intend to work on campus after December 19.
- If a student is moving from one degree program to another (such as Bachelors to Masters), they are required to obtain a new, updated I-20.
Please note that if newly admitted international students are unable to arrive in the US by the start date listed on their I-20/DS-2019, they should Report Changes to Their US Arrival Plan to OGS.
We continue to send our Journey to NYU emails to all international students who have program start dates between January 1 and March 1, 2026. Follow along with the emails these students are receiving at our Journey to NYU web page.
