LEGO Club/Project Meeting October 26

I would like to invite you to our second LEGO Project meeting. Noah is a youth leader, for the LEGO project, who is very passionate and knowledgeable about the LEGO project. October's topics include: a building demonstration, building time to practice skills, and determining the November build challenge. Noah would like you to join him and me at the second LEGO County-wide Project Meeting, on Tuesday, October 26.  Please RSVP by October 25 to Tracy, so we have a headcount for the meeting.

Each meeting will have a building challenge. This is a project that the youth work on at home during the month with whatever LEGO blocks they have. The build challenge that will be presented at the October Meeting is making a LEGO car. Please email a picture of your child's LEGO Challenge Creation to Tracy as the youth will have the opportunity to share this at the monthly meeting.

There will be LEGO building bricks provided at the meeting, so no need to bring any! If you cannot join us for this meeting; no worries, join us at a future one! Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please reach out if you have any questions.

RE-ENROLLMENT DEADLINE OCTOBER 31!

Help the County reach its goal of 500 members! As of Thursday morning, we are at 239 members, so not quite halfway. Many of the returning members have not re-enrolled yet. Please remember to re-enroll for the upcoming year before Sunday, October 31st at 11:59 pm. Seventeen percent of the current members are new members, so let's continue to grow the program!

County Achievement Night

County Achievement Night was held on Monday, October 18 at Prarie Theater. Many youth were recognized for their growth and achievements over the 2020-2021 4-H year. If you were unable to attend, the club general leader or another leader from your club has your awards. Many of the clubs will hand them out at club achievement nights. Extra programs are also in the club mailslots in the office, in case anyone would like an extra or include them in a club reporter or historian book.
Congratulations to all the 4-H Youth as 2020-2021 was a challenging year!

Thriving Survey

Fond du Lac County is participating in the #4HThriving Model survey! I REALLY WANT TO USE THIS DATA TO SUPPORT FOND DU LAC COUNTY 4-H! Parents with youth ages 13-19, please check your e-mails from Monday 10/4 and then a reminder that was sent on 10/8. Additional reminders will be sent until you actually complete the survey!!! This link is tied to your 4-H Online account, so you don't have to answer redundant questions! Your participation will help make decisions for upcoming programs, training, and resources. Don’t forget, those who complete the survey will be entered to win a $25 gift card! The survey link will be open until October 29.
So it's not a contest, but I want to WIN! Help Fond du Lac County obtain meaningful information to measure the success of our 4-H Program. I want Fond du Lac County to have the most participants in this survey! Let's be the winners! As of right now, Fond du Lac County is ranked 11th for finished surveys. The county with the most surveys completed is only 20 more surveys completed than Fond du Lac. We can do this! Sheboygan is also trying to get the most completed surveys!
The original e-mail came from someone named Jossett Gauley and was sent from the state through 4-H Online. It was done this way to be able to track young people's experiences in our program over time and to ensure we don't ask for information that we already have through our enrollment system.
