Spotlight on Federation President Robin Hettleman Weinberg

Robin Hettleman Weinberg began her Federation presidency this summer with a keen understanding of the organization and our Jewish community. In her recent interview with the Washington Jewish Week, Robin noted, “[Jewish community is] a space where we’re all curious, learning. We’re open. I want everyone to feel, 'I’m proud of who I am.' And I’m still exploring that. Every day, if I’m not learning something, challenged by something, wrestling with something ― if we’re not doing that, then we’re not growing.”

Federation, our Jewish Community Foundation, and our partners, the Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC), Anti-Defamation League (ADL), American Jewish Committee (AJC), and Secure Community Network (SCN), are working to combat hatred and continue to secure our community for the long-term. In March 2023, Federation’s Board approved an initial $2 million in funding to combat antisemitism over the next three years: an important step in a large-scale initiative.
