$30,000 Seed Funding leads to $3.0million MRFF Grant Success
Back in 2021 Ramon Shaban and Phoebe Williams both applied for Sydney ID Seed Funding to progress their research ideas. Fast forward to 2023, they have both been awarded large MRFF grants on the back of the seed funding support received from Sydney ID.
- Professor Ramon Shaban aims to develop a HIRAID-AGEDCARE model, based upon the existing HIRAID model used by emergency nurses across NSW hospitals
- Dr Phoebe Williams will trial whether a single oral dose of fosfomycin can be used to treat urinary tract infections (UTIs) in children.
Phoebe Williams said,
"this MRFF success was all only possible thanks to the support of the Sydney ID seed funding. I enormously appreciate your support when the idea first arose, which enabled the study to gain traction and this successful grant application. Thank you so much to all of you at Sydney ID that are so supportive of EMCRs, particularly Ben (Marais) who has provided guidance, advice and mentorship for many years."
