Hi All, Happy New Year! It is exciting that we are starting a new year. Extension has a new resource for us to track membership data. At this time we have 616 youth enrolled in 4-H, which is up almost 10% from last year. We also have 120 first-year members, with approximately 217 First Generation members. It is important that as clubs and projects are meeting that we are doing a good job of explaining the program and project requirements to new 4-H families. It also gives us an opportunity to see the top project enrollment by members. The top 10 4-H projects in Dodge County are:
- Photography 135
- Cloverbuds 116
- Crops 104
- Beef 95
- Woodworking 88
- Dairy 85
- Swine 82
- Drawing & Painting 82
- Art 79
As families think about those projects please remember to sign up for learning opportunities at the Family Learning Day. We also are in need of more project leaders, especially in the projects listed above. If you are able or know of a great resource to teach programs, feel free to reach out to those leaders and ask them to help teach about the project. Thanks again for everyone’s help in making Dodge County 4-H a great youth organization.
Please feel free to contact me with questions, and I look forward to a great 2023!
