Aloe Bay Charrette Events
Last week, an announcement was made about the launch of the Aloe Bay Charrette Hub (https://www.aloebay.org/charrette-hub) with specific events during the charrette. As a follow-up to that announcement, the project team wants to provide additional details and registration for each of the events scheduled for the charrette.
Kick-Off & Hands-On Design Session [VIRTUAL]
Jan. 18, 2021 | 5:30 to 7 p.m.
The first major event of the charrette will be the Kick-Off & Hands-On Design Session on Monday, January 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Join us for an informative online presentation on town planning and community design. You will have the chance to answer live polling questions and ask questions of your own! This event will be virtual so register to join via Zoom using the link below:
Open House [IN-PERSON]
Jan. 19, 2021 | 4 to 6 p.m.
Shelby Center at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab
Drop by anytime during the open house hours to ask the design team questions, view the team’s work and offer comments. This is an informal session that will allow you to inform the team as the plans are being drafted. The open house is a come and go event with no specific presentation. Registration for the Open House is required to help anticipate participation and prepare for a safe meeting. Please register using this link:
Virtual Studios
Throughout the charrette, multiple virtual studios will be held as informal online meetings to talk openly with the design team to provide feedback and ask questions as the plan ideas evolves. Register to join via the individual Zoom links.

Determining economic diversity and resilience are important success factors for Aloe Bay. Randy Gross with Randall Gross Development Economics will provide information on preliminary research process and findings on a potential development program.
