Dear 4-H Famies,
We are excited to share that Molly Damm is joining us as a 4-H AmeriCorps member in Dodge County. Molly's position will extend from January 13, 2025 to August 22, 2025. Through her dedicated service, we aim to advance our mission of enhancing the capabilities of youth-serving organizations across Wisconsin counties. Hats off to Winter Day in the Woods event hosted by the Columbia County 4-H Youth Ambassadors at the Upham Woods Outdoor Learning Center. There were approximately 65 participants from Columbia, Dodge, Juneau, and Sauk Counties. We separated into groups and Upham educators led us on a nature hike, taught us outdoor survival skills including how to make a fire and build a shelter, and cheered us on in an action-packed and highly competitive game of broom ball. We took a sweet respite indoors as we enjoyed a session on making hot cocoa bombs led by the Juneau County 4-H Youth Ambassadors.
Thanks to the Crave Family for sharing their adventure!
We started with survival skills and learned how to build a fire, Edwin actually started a fire and says it was his favorite activity. We then played broomball, went on a nature hike and made hot cocoa bombs! Joe and Lorelei liked broomball best.
