Shavonne Overton '13 welcomed her first child with Fred Miller on April 1, 2020. Their son, Leon, weighed 7 lbs., 11 oz, and measured 20 inches. She also accepted a permanent position in August 2019 as a stepdown float nurse at New York Presbyterian Hospital in NYC.
Lisa Rivard-Chopak '14 was appointed to the position of administrator of the Mont Marie Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, located in Western Massachusetts.
Shawna Barr '16, '18 recently completed an 8 month nurse residency/immersion program for home care through Hartford Healthcare at Home.
Luz Rentteria '16 was recently designated as a certified dementia practitioner by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners. Rentteria joined the Hartford Healthcare Center for Aging in January 2019.
Katherine Guilmette '17 graduated with her master’s degree in Gerontology from Concordia University-Chicago in December 2019. Guilmette is completing her fourth associate degree in Therapeutic Recreation so she can work in a senior center or assisted living setting.
Carol Nelson '17 graduated with a master’s degree in Gerontology from Concordia University-Chicago in December 2019. Nelson also began a doctorate program in Multidisciplinary Human Services at Capella University in January 2020.
