Describe the role of and statutory authority of the Travis County Medical Examiner’s Office (TCME).
- Outline the purpose of death certification and briefly discuss the TxEVER website.
- Define cause and manner of death and discuss the difference between a mechanism of death and a cause of death.
- Review examples of appropriate death certificates and generate wording of death certificates based on sample patient histories.
