Other than that, we on the Spotlight team hope you had a great summer. As shown in the "Oso Fun" section below, so many of you spent most of the months of June and July making presentations to incoming new students, representing your areas at Campus Connections, or acting as a weekly Line Camp Director or staff volunteer around campus. Thank you for your hard work. What an awesome incoming class we have! And what an awesome Student Life team we have to support our students!

Student Life Fall Kick-Off Breakfast | September 4, 2026 8:30-10 am | Griddle me this: what better way to begin a new year than with good food and great colleagues? We are thrilled to invite you to the Division of Student Life Fall Kickoff Breakfast! It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow staff, share ideas, and roll into the new semester together. Rent the Bear Den & Gameroom | The Baylor Gameroom is available for private party rentals, offering exclusive access to bowling lanes, games, and space for food, music, and fun gatherings for up to 50 people! FITPASS Fitness Classes | Faculty and Staff have access to fitness classes at the SLC year-round. For $60 per semester, enjoy unlimited access to every group fitness class offered through Campus Recreation. Volunteer for Move2BU | Join us in welcoming new students to campus during Move2BU. Faculty and staff can assist students by moving their belongings, assisting trash/recycling efforts, distributing snacks and water, or holding doors. Volunteers can select shifts from 7:45-10:15 a.m. or 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and choose to help on one or both days. Sign up as an individual or department here!

Welcome Week | Thursday, August 20 - Sunday, August 23, 2026 | Welcome Week is a week of events and activities that help new students connect with one another, get to know campus, and explore what the Waco community has to offer.

First Day of Class | Monday, August 24, 2026 | Each semester, President Livingstone shares a treat with students on the first day of classes. This year, students will enjoy “Popsicles with the President” in the afternoon.

First Dr Pepper Hour | Tuesday, August 25, 2026 | Since 1953, Dr Pepper Hour has been a long-standing tradition in the SUB. Join us every Tuesday from 3-4 pm for Dr Pepper floats and exhibits from offices across campus. Fill a punch card to join the Dr Pepper Hour Club!

Mosaic Mixer | Wednesday, August 26, 2026 | Mosaic Week includes events that connect students with different cultural organizations, coalitions, and other departments on campus.

Late Night | Friday, August 28, 2026 | Students have the opportunity to meet student leaders from 400+ student organizations and learn about the many opportunities for campus involvement.

Staycation Weekend | Friday, September 4 - Monday, September 7, 2026 | A campus-based weekend experience where students stay in Waco, enjoy special events, and explore local activities and discounts together. Offered the first weekend after the start of fall classes.

Sign the Line | Friday, September 11, 2026 | A meaningful Baylor Tradition where new students write their names on the actual Baylor Line at McLane Stadium before running across the field at the first home football game.

Baylor Football vs Prairie View A&M | Saturday, September 12, 2026 | The first home game of the year. Come see students run the line, participate in Athletics’ new “Fan First” era, and watch Baylor Football take on the Panthers. Sic’ Em, Bears!
