Building energy innovation systems in Latin America: Insights from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico

Zdenka Myslikova

Monday, November 25, 2019

12:30 pm – 1:45 pm

Crowe Room
The Fletcher School
The energy innovation that took place in Latin America has not been widely explored. With the exception of biofuel technology in Brazil, scholars have provided little or no attention to the energy innovation ecosystems in this region. This research shines light on how energy innovation systems in Latin America perform and assesses country-level capabilities to innovate.  This session looks at the energy innovation ecosystems in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico, with emphasis on solar PV and wind energy technologies. What policies have been influential in their innovation processes, and how can their systems be strengthened further?
